Luma Yoga​

In the bustling metropolis of NYC, where over 300 yoga studios exist, accessibility to yoga remains a challenge for many. My research delves into the intersection of affordability, convenience, and the lingering stigma around yoga, proposing a revolutionary solution - community spaces as ideal locations for hosting yoga classes.
Luma Yoga is a comprehensive platform connecting students seeking affordable classes, businesses interested in hosting yoga, and instructors eager to connect with community. Students pay a modest fee, receiving discounts at the hosting business, and a percentage of profits supports the instructor. I created a clickable prototype of this user flow in Figma.
Luma Yoga draws its inspiration from the spirit of the Bauhaus movement, where diverse designers converged under one roof to redefine design. Just as the Bauhaus transformed the design world, Luma Yoga endeavors to redefine the yoga experience by bringing community members together. The essence of yoga, which means to yoke or transform, is reflected in the geometric shapes of our branding. Luma Yoga aims to create a welcoming and inclusive community. The choice of yellow hues symbolizes warmth, radiance, and an open invitation to all who are interested.
